end of the year!!

April 20, 2010

The year is winding down and there is a lot that needs to be done.  Hopefully by this time you have your new chapter selected and maybe event the new officers as well.  Are there anythings that you found particualry rewarding or benefitial during your selections process?  What did you enjoy the most about rituals?  Any exciting ideas that you might want to share?

Selections

March 15, 2010

How are selections going so far?  What did you find that worked for recruitment and what didn’t?  What are your plans for the rest of rituals?  Has your chapter done anything new this year than it has in the past?  What advice would you give to other chapters for the selections process?

What are some new Community Service ideas that your chapter is doing for the Holidays? Or if you are doing an idea that has been done in the past, what is it and what are you doing to improve upon it from last year?

Hey everyone,

So I hope the President’s Conference was beneficial for all of you.  Seeing as how we have been back home for a couple of weeks I figured we get the discussion started.  Tell us how your chapter is doing and if you have incorporated anything new since the conference.

Welcome and thank you for visiting

July 19, 2009

Hi all,

Welcome to Lambda Sigma’s first official blog. Hopefully, this site will grow to be a successful tool for networking as well as a forum for discussing ideas among next year’s group of Lambda Sigma presidents (as well as the board). While I’ve worked with blogs before, this is my first foray into the world of blog-creation, so I’m certainly learning as I go. I wanted to bring your attention to a few things:

- I’ve tried to keep this blog as simple as possible. It’s primary purpose is to serve as a communication tool for the presidents, so I don’t feel the need to create a number of pages explaining what we’re all about (that’s what our website is for).

- I’ve included a link to our website on the right hand side (under “Blogroll”)

- I’m definitely open to suggestions on how I might make this blog better. You can let me know what you think by posting a comment to this blog post. You won’t need to sign in or create an account; all you will need to do is type your name, your email address, and your comment.

- I have included a short paragraph about the blog and its origins. You can find this by clicking “About” on the right hand side of the page.

Please don’t hesitate to let me know how I can make this blog better. As I’ve said, I have attempted to ensure that this will be a simple, user-friendly site that will ensure for a smooth transition once my term on the board is finished. This will not eliminate the need for email groups, but I hope that it will shift the discussion away from the one-on-one nature of email to the open forum-style advantage that blogs provide. We’ll still use email to let the presidents know when a new blog post has been submitted.

Thanks in advance for your comments!
Sam
