Let’s Get Started!!!

Hey everyone,

So I hope the President’s Conference was beneficial for all of you. Seeing as how we have been back home for a couple of weeks I figured we get the discussion started. Tell us how your chapter is doing and if you have incorporated anything new since the conference.

Our chapter is doing well! Since Conference, we’ve started incorporating service and social events into our weekly meetings.

Last week we made Halloween cards for a local nursing home. On Wednesday we’re having a LS sleepover, part of which will be a service project writing letters to troops from the Fox Valley Area currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. We’re also doing a Thanksgiving canned food drive in the surrounding neighborhood, participating in the Alternative Giving Fair, and are going to pass out apples and granola bars to students in the library during finals week. During our meeting last night we took 10 minutes to do a back-rub circle. It was a great stress reliever!
